Flee and Pursue Podcast #97 – Paul’s Departure and His Charge to Timothy

In 2 Timothy 4, Paul’s departure was imminent. When a person is at the end of his life, what do they emphasize? What do they call attention to? In this podcast, we end this line of fellowship by looking at five things Paul emphasized in the last chapter of 2 Timothy: we should live a life in the light of the Lord’s second coming (2 Tim. 4:1); we should proclaim the word—in season and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2); we should keep our love for the Lord fresh (2 Tim. 4:1); we should rise up from our failures, realizing it’s not always about how we begin, but how we finish (2 Tim. 4:11); and we should always have the realization that, despite living in a dark age, we always have the supply of grace available to us in our spirit (2 Tim. 4:22).

Oh Lord Jesus thank You for Your mercy and love! It is not how we start but we finish. Grant us Grace to be those who go on with You.
